How to Read an Odds Screen
An odds screen makes many books comparable in one table. Bettor Odds chooses a representative display line, then looks for that exact number at every book.
The display line
For sides and totals, the screen favors a line near an even fair price that is also widely available. This keeps the first view centered on the market rather than an extreme alternate.
Exact prices first
Each book column shows its price for the selected number when that exact line exists. This is the clean comparison used to identify best and worst prices.
Nearby lines are context
If a book lacks the selected number, its nearest available line can be shown separately. A nearby alternate is useful context, but it is not treated as the same bet when prices are ranked.
Live and pregame are different
Pregame and in-play markets use separate freshness rules. A live screen should reflect current game state and must not reuse a stale pregame quote.
